Terms of Service

Plain-language terms for using PDFZero's free, in-browser tools.

Last updated: 13 June 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using pdfzero.com (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. The service

PDFZero provides a collection of PDF utilities that run in your web browser. All processing happens locally on your device. The Service is provided free of charge.

3. Acceptable use

You agree to use PDFZero only for lawful purposes. You must not:

You are solely responsible for the files you process and the results you produce.

4. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the tools will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that output will be perfectly accurate. Always keep a backup of important documents.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PDFZero and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service.

6. Intellectual property

The PDFZero name, logo, design, and original code are the property of their respective owners. The tools rely on open-source libraries, which remain under their own licenses. You retain all rights to the files you process — we claim no ownership of your documents.

7. Donations

PDFZero may accept optional, voluntary donations to support development. Donations are non-refundable and do not create any subscription, account, or entitlement.

8. Third-party services

Some optional features (such as translation, AI features, or the contact form) rely on third-party providers governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Your use of those features is subject to those third parties' terms.

9. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated terms.
